A journey with my lovely husband........................
We
started our journey to Barcelona from Leonardo da
Vinci International Airport, Rome. The flight
journey above the Mediterranean Sea was really wonderful. It took 1 hr 20
minutes to reach Barcelona airport. We took Barcelona card from the tourist
information counter in the airport. The journey time
from the airport to the centre is
between 20 to 30 minutes. We reached our hotel by around 12.30 P.M. We went out searching for a good sea food
restaurant. Finally we got one cheap restaurant and had our lunch. We planned
to visit the nearby tourist spots.
I took some snaps of the famous art
museum, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, situated on Montjuic Hill. The
museum is especially notable for its outstanding collection of church
paintings. Then we got a bus to Montjuic Hill, from there we can see the
Barcelona port & the view of Mediterranean Sea. We spent 3 hours on the hill
area & came back as we wanted to see the sunset and then got into a bus
towards Barcelona beach. Reached there on time, saw the sunset & was very happy to see the beach with bluish color. For dinner we had famous Sea food,Paella & deeply fried from a good restaurant near
our hotel. Even around 11 PM, the
hotel was full, because of the football match. After finishing dinner we went
to the top floor of the hotel. Took some snaps of Fira & the art museum and
went back to our hotel where we stay.
Early morning we went to the art museum
& saw some beautiful Spanish kids. We took some pics together. Then we
moved to the next spot, Park Guell. The craziest park I have ever been to
in my life. It feels like it’s straight out of Alice and wonderland or
something else. We sat and enjoyed the sunshine and the fantastic view of the city.
This park is a MUST see. After that we roamed around the city, the beach side,
Sagarda Familie. We had lunch from an Indian restaurant. The climate was very
good & sunny. We liked the city, the people around and we covered all
the spots within 2 days. The tourist
information centre in all the main centres helped us in roaming around very
easily.
